Erdogan, UAE Leader Discuss Regional Tensions

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan engaged in a phone call on Tuesday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the leader of the United Arab Emirates.

As detailed by the Turkish Communications Directorate, the dialogue centered on the escalating tension between Israel and Iran, relations between the two nations, and broader developments in the region.

"During the call, President Erdogan stated that the spiral of violence triggered by Israel's attacks on Iran poses a risk to the security of the entire region, that the region is unable to endure another war," the directorate reported.

Erdogan emphasized that this growing instability threatens regional peace and highlighted the region's vulnerability to further conflict.

He underlined the necessity of pursuing peaceful resolutions through diplomatic avenues in order to bring an end to the hostilities.

Erdogan pointed out that the resolution to the nuclear disagreement with Iran lies in resuming diplomatic talks.

Additionally, he warned that the ongoing conflict must not overshadow the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, cautioning that neglecting it could lead to the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem facing potential occupation threats.
