Tulsi Gabbard Criticizes Slow Progress Within U.S. Government
According to Gabbard, deeply rooted bureaucratic factions are deliberately impeding the implementation of President Donald Trump’s policies.
Her comments followed the Trump administration’s contentious move to withhold the so-called ‘Epstein list’.
Authorities have denied that any such file exists, which would allegedly identify influential individuals connected to the late financier and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
This move has sparked backlash from various pundits, who view it as further indication of the persistent sway held by the deep state.
“They exist within every single agency of the federal government and the national security state and the propaganda media,” Gabbard stated during a student event on Sunday, which was organized by the conservative nonprofit group Turning Point USA in Tampa, Florida.
“I feel the same frustration that I see many of you expressing [online],” she continued.
“Why aren’t things going faster? Why aren’t we getting results more quickly? The deep state is fighting us every step of the way.”
In coverage by news outlets, Gabbard’s remarks were highlighted as a reflection of the enduring tensions between elected leadership and unelected institutional power structures.
