Erdogan’s UN Reform Quote Gets Displayed in New York
The phrase is a slogan Erdogan has frequently used while advocating for reforms in the UN system.
For many years, the UN Security Council has faced criticism that its five veto-holding members – the US, the UK, France, Russia, and China – possess excessive influence.
During his address to the 80th session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, Erdogan once again pressed for changes within the international organization.
“I sincerely believe that our collective responsibility is to take the steps that will return the UN to its founding spirit in its 80th year. We will continue to say ‘The World Is Bigger Than Five!’ until a system is established where the just, not the powerful, prevail,” he stated.
Additionally, his quote "A Fairer World Is Possible" was showcased on LED screens in Times Square.
